Most local guides will organise trips for you. You can find registered guides outside most of the hotels. The registered Guides are 'somewhat trained' and controlled, each has a name badge with a number which you should note, as this is the only control you have over the situation. They will take you to most of the local venues, they are supposed to look after you and make sure you are not hassled or exploited. The trip
will cost you any transport costs, entrance tickets and all your food
and drink as well as the guides charge of around £1 to £2
per hour, usually half a day, some guides will say the charge is per person.
Always agree what you are paying before you go. Some guides will get you good prices hoping you will tip them generously, others will take a share of the high prices you are charged as a way of increasing their own money. 5 Top
