Alice wrote: Alice's holiday report There's only one word that can some up my trip and that's fantastic. I've never felt more at ease even though i was a female travelling alone, and if i did have any concerns they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. the only pest i encountered were mosquitoes but i've only got myself to blame for that! Having already been to The Gambia on a package holiday i was keen to experience what it was really like and GTS gave me this opportunity. Working in the GTS run nursery schools was amazing and it was so satisfying to be helping this wonderful charity. The staff that keep it all running are fantastic too and very welcoming,
Kabs is an extremely hard worker and is always trying his best to please everyone, it is clear he is very dedicated to his job which inspires even more faith in this organisation. Jerreh is also excellent at his job, and it's clear the staff respect him and go to him with any of their problems, my favourite thing about Jerreh though has to be his personality he is very kind and has a laugh that would make you smile all day! Having seen all the projects GTS are working on and the enthusiasm with which they're talked about it is impossible not to become dedicated to this charity. I am certain i will return to GTS so i can continue my support and >be made to feel part of something very special. I can also recommend the accommodation to anyone who is thinking of going. It was comfortable, in a great location and really felt like home, overall the only thing left to say is if you're thinking about going to help, don't think about it, do it i can assure you, you wont regret a second.
