At last our container arrives and is made ready to receive its contents.

We issued press releases to the local newspapers and radio stations.

On Sunday we launched our Fund an inch Appeal to coincide with the newspaper reports and money is starting to be donated.

The container is filling up, The largest single item is a glass fibre boat hull destined to form the basis of a GTS business out there to support one or two employment positions. That has been supported with timber to hold it in position and boxes of books are packed all round it.

The base of the empty hull was then filled with books to make it level and all of the computer screens have been packed here.

We have appealed for timber to construct a floor to make a second level to add the furniture we are taking, but so far we have had no offers, but continue to fill the base level to secure everything against movement.

Early on Monday we went for an interview on Radio Shropshire with Colin who hosts the breakfast show. Njun and i had about 10 minutes describing The Gambia and discussing our GTs scheme.

We are expecting the newspapers to run pictures and a story over the next week and cover our Fund an Inch appeal.
