Including the two schools we administer PLUS the children sponsored in various ways - the organisation currently supports 300 children.

Many of the individual children have specific sponsors.

The setting up of GES will make sponsors money go further by allowing GES to receive the tax back on money donated to GES.

GTS Gambia - will provide the staffing to administer and feedback information to sponsors, but will not be funding their wages which will continue to be earned by providing tourist services.

Each student who is individually sponsored will have a web page holding their information, pictures and reports, primarily of their school progress but also of their home and cultural life where appropriate, along with a picture of their sponsor and feedback from them.

In the past - all of the GTS teams efforts went into making sure the students were visited, their fees paid, uniforms bought etc. With the increased staffing they will be able to provide the vital feedback to sponsors that has so often been missing.

The web pages are indexed up by school and then pupil, so visitors can browse them - individual sponsors can save the link to their childs page so they can quickly find them after their first visit.
