Comments to GES |
I write on behalf of the Chairman and trustees of GES to invite you to attend the 2nd Annual General Meeting of GES on Saturday May 21st 2005. The meeting will be held in Deal, Kent on the south east coast (map available on request.) Do please advise me by 7th May 2005 at the latest if you wish to nominate trustees to the Executive Committee. Deal is a pleasant, quiet seaside town, only a two and a half hour drive from London, 10 minutes from the port of Dover (served by both the M20 and M2) and just 35 minutes away from the beautiful city of Canterbury. So, should you decide to come to the AGM and also take a mini-break or long weekend then do contact me for details of bed/breakfast establishments and hotels in the immediate area - I will be pleased to help. The venue is situated right in the heart of the town with its own and adjacent parking, plus a further car park at the end of the road. Arrivals are invited for 12noon, a complimentary luncheon will be provided at 12.45 and the meeting is scheduled to commence at 1.30p.m. Tea and biscuits will be served at its close and time will be available for getting to know each other and relaxing. The minutes of the AGM 2004 and the agenda for the forthcoming AGM are posted on both the GES and GTS web pages, there is also a summary of the Chairman' Report - please print off and bring with you to the meeting. ( www.ges.org.uk with link to GTS site.) Much progress has been made both here and in The Gambia but there is still a great deal more to do and major, exciting challenges are ahead. Your support and interest is of vital importance to both GES and GTS, we do hope you are able to join us and share time with other members and supporters in a very pleasant venue with additional garden access. In order to organise lunch I need
to know approximate numbers of those wishing to attend - so
do please let me know at your very earliest convenience whether you are
able to attend or not - as I shall be away during much of April
and May - therefore time is very limited. Again, thank you on behalf of
the trustees for your support - we do hope you will be able to join us. 5 Top
