The announcement from the Thompson Travel company that in future passenger on holidays with Thompson will have the choice of a meal and transfers from the airport and choosing not to could mean a £20 or £30 reduction per person if you take a few sandwiches and use GTS to transfer from Banjul airport to your hotel.

We will have to wait and see if it happens on all routes and if other tour operators will follow suit.

Membership of GTS will just get better for members who will save the cost of their membership just in transport one way.

Unhappily I hear that more Hotels in Gambia are again offering all inclusive holidays, it is ironic that a seminar conference on Fair trade in tourism will be held in Gambia at the end of May.
